The International Institute of Medical Science & Technology Council (IIMSTC) held a significant council meeting at Taj International, Bengaluru International Airport, highlighting a key moment in global academic collaboration with University of New Castle- the renowned University in the world. The meeting was attended by Mr. Alex Zelinsky AO, Vice Chancellor and President and former Chief Defense Scientist of Australia, provided advisor to the government on national defense science and technology. He was accompanied by Dr. Alek Voninski, Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Partnerships, Prof. Lisa Wood, Pro Vice Chancellor for Health, Medicine and Wellbeing, and Dr. Gurupreet Singh. Dr. Sreedhar Saraswathy, Chairman of IIMSTC presided the meeting and Dr. Sanju Thomas, Managing Director of TNASDC (Senior Council Member), greeted the esteemed delegates. This initiative will provide students with unique opportunities to pursue foreign degrees while studying in India.
The Diamond Beneath Your Feet initiative, envisioned by Dr. Sreedhar Saraswathy aims to assist the Government of India and state governments in identifying talented underprivileged candidates. By offering scholarships from state, central, and university funds, the program aims to alleviate the financial burden of international education and empower students to access lucrative global job opportunities.
The meeting highlighted IIMSTC’s dedication to making world-class education accessible to all and fostering international collaborations. With the University of Newcastle partnering in this initiative, the resolution represents a significant step in connecting global academic excellence with local talent.

The University of East Anglia’s distinguished delegation, alongside the International Institute of Medical Science & Technology Council, enabling underprivileged students to access global education while staying rooted in their communities. The University of East Anglia (UEA) has returned to the world’s top 300 in a leading university ranking table.

University of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom
Dr. Nick Andrews, the Global Recruitment Manager at the University of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom, ranked 37th in the UK and 399th in the world, recently visited the International Institute of Medical Science & Technology Council in partnership with “Diamond Beneath Your Feet – CoE” to discuss international student recruitment strategies, developing key overseas markets, and strengthening institutional partnerships with IIMSTC and its Partner Institute.
With a strong emphasis on global engagement, IIMSTC collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and international partners to expand global presence, support sustainable recruitment growth, and attract a diverse and high-quality international university association.
